As the name suggests "Thenkuzhal" is a honey like recipe.  Chettinadu is very famous for preparing Thenkuzhal murukku in its most traditional way.  The specialty of Thenkuzhal is the crispiness with out any sign of reddish fried color.   All eateries will turn into reddish color which in turn will indicate their level of crispiness but this is not true in case of thenkuzhal.  The ingredients and their unique proportion gives this unique texture and taste to ThenKuzhal.  In Chettinadu region people still follow the most authentic way of ThenKuzhal preparation.
