As it would take many days devotees will take this Pulikaichal along with them with a rice bag. If made in right way with traditional ingredients this will last long for months. So at stop points rice will be cooked and tamarind rice will be made.
This Pulikaichal is made with “Nattu Puli” (Traditional tamarind) and Sesame Oil without any addition of preservatives. This is much famous in this region for its taste and traditional flavor.
