As the Calcium (Sunnambu) is available in abundance in the Sea base near Tiruchendur the Palm Jaggery production became possible in this area thousands of years ago.

Speciality : The Sukku Karuppatti or Puttu Karuppatti is a value added product from regular Palm Jaggery. This is prepared by adding Sukku, Milagu (Pepper) and Ginger (Inji) along with Palm Jaggery in a specific percentage that would provide enormous health benefits.
