Product Native: Making Gravies(Kuzhambu) for solid foods like Rice, Kambanjoru etc., is an integral part of TamilNadu’s food culture. So it has become a custom to prepare the Sambar spice mix once in a year and it will be used all through the year. This Gravy mix (Sambar Mix) is from a Native farmer from the village Nagamballi near Vedasandhur, Tamil Nadu.

Specialty: This traditionally made native Gravy mix (Sambar Podi Masala) is made by adding 15 types of spices. All the items were dried naturally in the sunlight. Castor Oil (Vilakennai) is used for frying the raw materials which are the traditional way of doing and it ads up to its health benefits. In addition, the Malli used for the preparation is Nattu Malli also we do not use Tumeric Powder, instead we use Turmeric (Manjal) itself so that it blends well with the mix. We do all this traditional way of preparation in order to retain the original taste and falvor of our old times.

Ingredients: Coriander, Red Chilli, Pepper, Cumin, Split Gram Lentil, Urad dal, Green chickpeas, Fenugreek, Mustard, Aniseed, Asafoetida, Rice-(One Tablespoon), Curry leaves, Turmeric, Castor Oil
