Mahatma Gandhi suggested peanuts as the best replacement for fruits, he made peanuts and goat milk as his most staple diet. Like any other food Peanut also has its own disadvantage as it contributes “PITHAM” in siddha terms to our body. Knowing this, our forefathers created a snack that could give all the advantages of Peanuts but in the meantime will neutralize the “PITHAM” effect on our body.

Adding jaggery to peanuts is the proven method that has been in use for generations which makes the peanut intake more delicious with all its nutritional benefits by neutralizing PITHAM. Thus snacks made of peanut and jaggery have become the most common snack for generations.
