Product Description

Product Native: Ghee from original country bread famously called as “Malai Madu”. This cows were grown in the stretches of Western Ghats between Theni and Periyakulam, TamilNadu (India)

Specialty: As we know TamilNadu is a land with richest traditional history. These Hill Bread Cattles are early part of cattle domestication of Tamil people when they started moving down from the hills to Plain area. These Malai Madu (Hill Bread Cows) is becoming a rare bread now with only around 15000 nos in Tamil Nadu. Mainly they are concentrated in the region of Theni. As these cows walk up and down in the hills they are lean in nature. Also as they grass mostly in the natural terrains of western ghat their milk is very special. The tribes of Theni region have a custom that they will not sell the milk from this cow. So mainly Ghee is produced from the milk they take and this ghee is prepared in natural way.

Cow’s milk is boiled and cooled. Then a spoonful of curd is added to this
milk and kept at room temperature overnight. The curd is then churned to extract butter from it. This butter is then boiled and naturally produced ghee is ready for us to use.
